Last Friday, our Lower Secondary students (Year 9) had an unforgettable educational experience as they visited Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade. Accompanied by their class teacher Marija Mili膰 and teachers Zoran Petrovi膰 and Dunja Majer, the students embarked on a journey through the life and work of one of history鈥檚 greatest inventors.
Nikola Tesla Museum, located in the heart of Belgrade, is dedicated to honoring the legacy of Nikola Tesla, a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and a futurist who is best known for his contributions to the development of alternating current (AC) electrical systems. The museum houses over 160,000 original documents, photographs, instruments, and models that highlight Tesla鈥檚 incredible achievements and innovative spirit.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to engage with interactive exhibits and demonstrations that brought Tesla鈥檚 inventions to life.
Highlights of the Trip
Teacher Marija Mili膰 commented on the experience, saying, “The visit to Nikola Tesla Museum was an incredible opportunity for our students to connect classroom and practical learning. Seeing Tesla鈥檚 work up close inspired many of them to think about their own potential contributions.”
Students also shared their enthusiasm, with many highlighting the interactive elements and the engaging storytelling of the museum staff as their favorite parts of the trip. One student remarked, “It was amazing to see how Tesla鈥檚 inventions from over a century ago are still relevant today!”
This visit to Nikola Tesla Museum not only enriched the students’ understanding of history and science but also provided a fun and memorable experience that will resonate with them for years to come.
