Tuesday, 21 May, was dedicated to marine animals as Savremena鈥檚 Year 10 students visited Belgrade鈥檚 Tropicarium with their Biology teacher and class teacher. Located in Dedinje, the green heart of our capital, the Belgrade Tropicarium was a place of learning and creativity for the students on Tuesday.
The students of International School Savremena had a unique chance to listen to an inspirational lecture by professor Piti膰, entitled 鈥楾he Challenges of the Digital Age鈥.
Savremena鈥檚 students went on a five-day study trip to Prague, or the Golden City as Charles IV called it, built in the 9th and 10th centuries around the Hrad膷any and Vy拧ehrad forts.

On Wednesday, 3 April, the students and teachers of International School Savremena welcomed two experts on non-violent conflict solutions and peer violence.
On Monday, 1 April, the students of Savremena visited the magnificent city of Vr拧ac and the Hemofarm factory. Year 11 students came back richer with knowledge in Biology, Geography, History, Chemistry and Economics.

Savremena鈥檚 kickboxer Nata拧a Kati膰 won a gold medal at the Belgrade Championship held on Saturday, 6 October in Lazarevac, at the SRC Kolubara sports hall. The championship was organised by the Kolubara kickboxing club, together with the Kickboxing Federation of Belgrade.

On Friday, 28 September, Savremena鈥檚 third-year student Adriana Salahovi膰 participated, as a member of the 鈥淕lasovi Nade鈥 singing school, in the international music festival Angel Voice in Belgrade, where she won first place in the 16-18 age category.
Savremena鈥檚 third-year student Nikola Milosavljevi膰 used his summer break for education and his greatest love 鈥 the guitar. While his peers were relaxing on the beach or the mountains, Nikola participated in two music events 鈥 ARLEMM, a summer music event in Arilje, and the international guitar festival Forum Gitarre Wien.

Promoting intercultural and academic student exchanges has always been an important part of school life at International School Savremena.
A school is only as successful as its students. Once again Tara 膯ulibrk shone like a star in the world of swimming, bringing medals to Savremena from yet another competition.
Yet another school year has started! On 3 September, Year 11, Year 12 and Year 13 students of International School Savremena returned to the familiar classrooms and hallways, while Year 10 students were introduced to their new school and friends, and learnt about the inspirational and educational lessons from their teachers.
Danilo Stokani膰, Savremena鈥檚 student attending the Cambridge International Programme, achieved great success by winning as many as 50 points in biology and chemistry tests, ranking second at the entrance exam at the Faculty of Medicine with a total of 88.78 points.
On Friday, 29 June, Savremena鈥檚 students had the honour and pleasure to participate in the organisation of a reception at the White Palace. The following day, on Saturday, 30 June, they attended a workshop held by the renowned lecturer Christopher Thurber, after which they took part in a workshop and enjoyed a tour of the palatial complex.
